Workshop Cancellation Policy

 

In a perfect world, every workshop SimplyASL schedule will proceed, and every person who registers as a participant will attend.  However, as we all live in the real world, the following policies will guide our collective expectations when things don't go to plan:

  • A workshop will be confirmed to proceed not later than 14 days before its scheduled starting date.

  • Workshop registration is only confirmed when full payment has been received from a participant.

  • If sufficient confirmed registrations have not been received two weeks in advance of the scheduled
    starting date, the workshop may be canceled.


  • In the unlikely event that the workshop is canceled and cannot be rescheduled for any reason, all
    confirmed participants will be
    notified immediately and receive a full refund.

 Other cancellations and schedule change

 

It's unlikely to happen, but we reserve the right to cancel or reschedule an event due to low enrollment, presenter illness, or other circumstances. If the event is canceled, participants will receive a full refund of their registration fee. If the event is rescheduled, participants will have the option of attending the rescheduled event or receiving a full refund.

If we cancel or reschedule a workshop or other event, we won't refund your travel, lodging, or meal expenses. We suggest you make refundable travel arrangements.

No refund will be issued for cancellations received less than 15 days before the first day of the workshop. Late requests for refunds due to a family or other emergency only will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

All cancellations must be sent in writing via fax, e-mail or regular mail to SimplyASL. Please fax or email cancellations, if possible, and expect confirmation within two business days. If necessary to cancel by USPS, please allow sufficient time for a response.

SimplyASL is not responsible for problems beyond our control such as weather conditions, venue property conditions, prepaid parking, prepaid tours, etc. No refunds will be given in these situations. The final decision on refunds rests with the SimplyASL organizers.

Refund Policy

 

  • If a participant chooses to cancel their confirmed registration, or cannot or does not attend the
    workshop, the following refunds will apply:


    • The registered participant may invite another person to substitute their place
      in the workshop (in which they are registered) at any time at no charge;

    • If notice is received 14 or less days from the scheduled starting date, no refund
      will be offered; and

    • If notice is received 15 or more days, but less than 30 days, from the scheduled
      starting date, a 50% refund will be offered.

    • If notice is received 30 or more days, but less than 45 days, from the scheduled
      starting date, a 75% refund will be offered.

    • If notice is received 46 or more days, from the scheduled starting date, a 100%
      refund will be offered.
